The Klein Group Instrument® for Effective Leadership and Participation in Teams measures all essential skills and behaviors required for outstanding team performance. People are the most valuable asset an organization has and high functioning teams serve as the foundation of success.

Using the KGI™ with teams:

  • Improves team communication, morale, and engagement
  • Keeps teams focused on the task at hand
  • Helps members appreciate complementary skills
  • Identifies training needs and mentoring opportunities
  • Ameliorates interpersonal conflict
  • Provides strategies to improve group process
  • Assists leaders with addressing group needs

When a KGI™ Group Administration is taken by team members, questions are individually answered from the perspective of membership in that particular group. Scored results are delivered through two profiles, the KGI™ Individual Profile, a confidential report delivered to each individual team member, and the KGI™ Group Profile, an aggregate report distributed to all members of the team.

The KGI™ Group Profile is rich with information and provides:
  • A step-by-step approach for using the KGI with your team
  • An Executive Summary
  • Color graphs of all scales indicating group scores
  • Suggestions to optimize and refine your team’s performance
  • A blue print for success with Constructing an Action Plan for your team

The group profile includes both quantitative and qualitative results, with graphs showing composite scores on the KGI's 4 major scales and 9 subscales (Assertiveness, Group Facilitation, Initiative, Perspective Taking, Constructive Negotiation Approach, Task Analysis, Task Implementation, Positive Group Affiliation, and Feeling Orientation).

When a professional consultant or facilitator is retained to work with a team, they will find the KGI™ Group Profile contains all of the information necessary for identifying and deciding on strategies to quickly move the team forward in accomplishing their goals.

The following products are included as downloads with all purchases of the KGI™ Group Administration for use with a group or team:

  • KGI™ Individual Profile
